The project consists of a three story building with approximately 3000sqm of floor space, The building is located in the centre of Wexford Town in an existing car park. Around the perimeter of the site is a medieval wall dating back to the tenth century which has to be protected and monitored during the duration of the project.
The works include the excavation of the basement area, and the rise of a three storey building in RC form. The building’s RC is very complex and consists of a grade B fair faced finish. Spread over three floors, the building consists of research areas where Wexford Studies can be housed. The structure will contain the most modern technology and have access to electronic information.The face of the building will be complete with a complex design of stone cladding, curtain wall screen and a Luca bond finish.
