WEXFORD COUNTY Council signed contracts with Michael McNamara & Co. for the construction of the new €7 million County Library on Mallin Street.

The Mallin Street Library will be six times the size of the current building, which is off Redmond Square.

It will have the most modern technology and access to electronic information as well as space for a generous library collection and dedicated areas for library activities.

Spread over three floors, plans also include a research area where Wexford Studies can be housed properly, overlooking and providing cultural resonance for the town’s historic wall which will be conserved by the building which also has a viewing platform.
